Visiting Assistant Professor in American Government and Policy

Location: Chestertown, MD

The Department of Political Science at Washington College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in American Government and Policy for three consecutive semesters: the 2020 Spring Semester and 2020-2021 Academic Year.  The teaching load is three courses in the fall and three courses in the spring.

For the Spring 2020 semester, we seek a professor who can teach Introduction to American Government, American Foreign Policy, and a course on Parties and Interest groups.  For the fall 2020 semester, responsibilities include teaching our introductory course in American government and politics and a course on Elections (and possibly a First Year Seminar).  For the spring 2021 semester, the candidate will teach one section of our introductory course in American government, the American Presidency and American Foreign Policy or another policy course.  In addition to teaching, faculty responsibilities will also include some senior thesis advising.  The position includes benefits and salary is competitive.
